Scholarship Description
The Synovus Bank/Calvin Smyre Endowed Scholarship Fund.
This scholarship opportunity was developed to provide African American college students studying banking or financial services with a $4,500 need-based scholarship in their sophomore year, which may be renewed in the junior and senior years. Selected recipients' contact information will be shared with the scholarship grantor.
Priority consideration will be granted to applicants attending an HBCU. One annual award will be designated to a student at Fort Valley State University, where Mr. Smyre serves as Chair of the FVSU Foundation.
