Scholarship Description
Gerald Bergquist was a long-time resident of Cowlitz County. He graduated from Kelso High School in 1947 and worked for many years as an installer for Bell Telephone. He was involved in many local sports teams as a player, coach, and referee. He established two scholarships for local students--one for musicians and one for athletes.

Requirements
The student selected to receive this scholarship must:
- be a graduating senior from R.A. Long High School
- have a GPA of at least 3.5
- continue their education at an accredited college, university, technical or career school during the upcoming academic year
plan to major in music
