Scholarship Description
GMBS invites high school seniors and college freshmen to participate in the yearly competition. There are two categories: vocalist and instrumentalist musicians and 10 semi-finalists in each category. The top 3 winners will receive 1st place $3,000, 2nd place $2,000 and 3rd place will win $1,000.
Students from across the country apply for the scholarship and vocal 10 semi-finalists, and 10 instrumental semi-finalists are chosen to compete at the Glenn Miller Festival. Three winners are selected from each category and perform at the Stage Show the next day during the festival.
To apply, applicants must upload 2 music selections of their choice on YouTube of contest level material in contrasting styles.
