Scholarship Description
Applicants to the Henry O. Peabody Scholarship Program must be:
- Women attempting to acquire an independent livelihood who are graduating high school seniors, undergraduates, or women seeking to return to school
- Be high school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates
- Plan to enroll in full-time or part-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year
- Applications must be a resident of Norfolk County, MA or the towns of Brockton, or Mansfield in Massachusetts
Applications are especially encouraged from women who are:
- Planning to attend a vocational-technical school
Women returning to the workforce hoping to become economically self-sufficient
- Receiving Aid to Families with Dependent Children
Awards will range from $1,000 to $5,000 maximum. Adult learners may negotiate to use their awards for child care or other education-related expenses
