Joseph A. Monachino Memorial Scholarship

Joseph was an Engineer who earned his Master's degree from Georgia Tech. A proud Seabee, he dedicated 25 years to working in the Civil Engineer Corps for the Navy. He valued education, a strong work ethic, and duty to his country. He also strongly believed in the importance of family, faith, and the power of knowledge to expand horizons.

This scholarship aims to honor the life of Joseph A. Monachino by supporting students committed to ethics, hard work, and the pursuit of higher education at a 4-year college or trade school.

Any high school student in Nevada with financial need and strong academic performance may apply for this scholarship opportunity. Preference is given to applicants from Carson High School and those involved in JROTC or NJROTC programs.
