Scholarship Description
Lando LaKeith Young was a beloved friend who passed away far too soon on January 9th, 2025.
Lando was loved by everyone in his whole town of Jefferson, Texas as well as at the school he taught at in Cypress, Texas for twenty years (Cypress-Fairbanks). Lando was a coach and math teacher who changed the lives of over 30,000 kids over the course of his career. Lando was a kinesiology major at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas, and was passionate about sports.
This scholarship aims to honor the life and legacy of Lando Young by supporting students in his honor.
Any high school senior at Jefferson High School in Texas may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
