Scholarship Description
The Norman S. Baldwin Fishery Science scholarship is intended to promote academic excellence by encouraging young scientists to undertake graduate research in fishery biology and to enter the field of Great Lakes science. The scholarship is awarded annually to promising M.Sc. or Ph.D. students whose research is likely to make a significant contribution to the understanding of Great Lakes fishery science.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must
- be a master's or Ph.D. student whose proposed research topic is relevant to Great Lakes fishery research
- not have received the award previously
- not be a current member of the IAGLR Board of Directors or part of a current board member's immediate family (parents, children, spouse, siblings)
