Scholarship Description
The Raymond Meyer Flight Fund Scholarship (RMMS) is an annual scholarship. First, to remember Raymond Meyer as an Oregon aviator with a passion for flying and for sharing that passion with others. Second, to continue to promote aviation, just as Raymond did during his lifetime, by making the opportunity of learning to fly, or advancing flying, by providing financial assistance.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a resident of Oregon.
- be a member of Oregon Pilots Association (Student pilot membership is free).
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Have successfully soloed in a single or multi engine land airplane, or rotorcraft.
- Have passed the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test (before funds will be released).
- Have completed High School graduation (or GED) if not currently enrolled.
- Have a minimum 2.5 GPA if enrolled in/graduated high school, college or flight school.
