Scholarship Description

The Washington Counties Scholarship Fund will be accepting applications for the 2025/26 academic year beginning March 1, 2025. The fund awards up to three $3,000 scholarships to eligible children of county employees and county elected officials in the following offices: assessors, auditors, clerks, coroners, medical examiners, prosecutors, sheriffs, and treasurers.

Recipients must be full-time students in a baccalaureate degree, associate degree, or vocational/technical certification program. Any student planning on attending college in the fall is eligible to win the Washington Counties Scholarship. This includes those who are seniors in high school as well as those currently attending college. A student must be a high school graduate or GED recipient prior to the school year to be eligible. Running start credits are not covered by this scholarship.
