Scholarship Description

Income to be used for the education, training, or other assistance of handicapped students or students preparing themselves for work with handicapped children. The University is free to determine the amount of the scholarship to aid pupils who could not otherwise prepare themselves for this work. Can be used to help handicapped students prepare for admission to the University. By the use of the term handicapped, it is intended to include students handicapped physically or mentally, or handicapped by reason of environment or lack of opportunity, or such related causes, and thereby incapacitated to take advantage of the opportunities that the Government of the United States holds open to all of its citizens.

Meeting scholarship eligibility does not guarantee awarding. Current UT undergraduates and incoming external transfer undergraduates can apply through the OSFA Continuing & Transfer Student Scholarship Application, available from November through mid-March each year. Incoming first-time-in-college students can apply through the Scholarship Interest form, available from September 1 - January 15 each year.
