The UCT Charities Scholarship Program, funded by UCT Charities, provides scholarships to students and teachers seeking college degrees or certification to work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Five ACES scholarships are awarded to students who excel in critical thinking about written materials in any field and aspire to a career involving editing. Four of these winners each receive $1,500, and the student chosen as the Aubespin Scholar receives $2,500. We’re looking for critical thinkers who have a passion for words and enjoy making writing clear, accurate, and engaging. The Walsh Scholarship goes to an applicant who aspires to edit news and who demonstrates the talent and passion for language and journalism that Bill Walsh devoted his career to. Applicants for the other five ACES Scholarships should have a commitment to the editing of written materials and demonstrate effectiveness in doing so. A student may simultaneously seek both the Walsh Scholarship and one of the other five scholarships, but may win only one.

AAUW American Fellowships support women scholars who are pursuing full-time study to complete dissertations, conducting postdoctoral research full time, or preparing research for publication for eight consecutive weeks. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Candidates are evaluated based on scholarly excellence; quality and originality of project design; and active commitment to helping women and girls through service in their communities, professions, or fields of research.

The purpose of The GreenPal Small Business Scholarship is to assist a motivated, driven student and future business leader. We believe that the generation of today's students are the future employers of tomorrow. The future of our county will be forged by the entrepreneurial spirit of today's generation. The Charles Cheesman Student Debt Reduction Scholarship seeks to reduce student loan costs for African American or Hispanic/Latino first generation students, who are currently in college or have graduated with student loans. Workers who are no longer students but are still working to pay off student loans are eligible. To apply, write a 400-600 word essay about your educational pursuits, life goals, community service, accomplishments, etc. Explain what you will do with the money you save because of this scholarship.

Each year NPVA offers merit-based scholarships for students who are committed to volunteering and making a difference in their communities. Applicants must be a high school junior or senior, undergraduate student, or graduate student; must have at least a 2.5 GPA, and must currently enrolled or plan to be enrolled part-time or full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university. Vocational/technical, two-year, four-year, or graduate institutions are eligible.

Restricted to pre-doctoral candidates in the history of art and related disciplines (such as archaeology, architecture, or classics). Nominees must be U.S. citizens or individuals matriculated at an American university. Dissertation research must focus on European art from antiquity to the early 19th century and applicants must be ABD by the time their fellowship begins. Candidates must be nominated by their academic department. Each nomination should be formally confirmed in a letter of recommendation from the department chair. Please note: Each university is limited to two (2) nominees per academic department. The nominees must be applying for different research centers. Nominations are confirmed as part of the Department Chair’s recommendation letter. All recommendation letters, including the Department Chair’s nomination, are securely submitted via a link that is emailed to recommenders once they are listed by the student on the fellowship application form in the grantee portal.

Each year the Foundation awards scholarships to deserving professionals. Grants of up to $5,000 per individual are designed to help offset the financial burden of required Continuing Education Units or Advanced Degrees incurred by our Nurses and Teachers. The high cost of medical school can make the field inaccessible to students with financial need. For example, the patriarch of our family—Emanuel "Manny" Weiner—graduated from college in a pre-med program, but due to financial and other factors, was unable to attend medical school. This was one of the great regrets of his life. In memory of Manny and his wife, Sylvia Weiner, this scholarship seeks to support undergraduates in a pre-med track or current medical students. Any student in a pre-med or medical school program who has financial need and wants to become an M.D. may apply for this scholarship.

Applicants must be a current 3rd or 4th year undergraduate dental student or dental specialist graduate student in the State of Washington. The scholarship is designed to help bring awareness to and promote private practice ownership.

STEM fields are becoming increasingly popular fields of study in our increasingly scientific and technological world. Unfortunately, many sectors of STEM are still lacking in diversity, with Black and Hispanic workers being particularly underrepresented. Just 8% of the STEM workforce is Hispanic and only 9% is Black, despite Hispanic people making up 17% of the general workforce and Black workers holding 11% of all jobs. This scholarship aims to honor the legacy of William A. Lewis by supporting underrepresented students interested in pursuing careers in mathematics or other STEM fields. Any BIPOC undergraduate or graduate student who is pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in STEM at an HBCU may apply for this scholarship.

The Multi-Country Research Fellowship enables US scholars to carry out transational research in countries across the network of Overseas Research Centers as well as other countries. ​The fellowship supports advanced research in the humanities, social sciences, and allied natural sciences for US doctoral candidates, who are ‘all but dissertation,’ and scholars who have earned their PhD or a terminal degree. Applicants are eligible to apply as individuals or as teams. Six awards of $12,600 each will be granted. Funding is provided by the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Mary Ellen Lane Travel Award: Each year the highest ranking Multi-Country Fellowship applicant will receive an additional $1,000 toward travel expenses. The award is named after CAORC's founding director, Dr. Mary Ellen Lane. ​

The UNIMA-USA scholarship program is intended to help cover tuition fees for American puppeteers who wish to study puppetry outside the U.S. Applicants should be puppeteers who have some professional experience, who have a university degree in puppetry, or who can otherwise demonstrate a serious commitment to the art form. Over the past several years, UNIMA has also given scholarships for study in an ever-widening number of places, including the Institut Internationale de la Marionnette in Charleville-Mezieres, France; the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England; the International Summer Academy in Stuttgart, Germany; and Puppets in Prague. The working knowledge of another language might be necessary to fully participate in some programs. Candidates may use their scholarship at any time of the year, depending on when the courses are being offered. Puppetry training may be undertaken with either a recognized puppetry professional or a professional program outside the U.S. In some cases, an international puppet festival may be considered as a professional program.

The Minority Scholarship Award recognizes physical therapy students currently in their final year of an accredited program, and faculty members who are pursuing postprofessional doctoral degrees, for their professional character and academic excellence.

This award recognizes outstanding teachers in our profession who deserve to be recognized for their impact on veterinary students. The SAVMA Chapter that is associated with the submission will receive a stipend to host an awards ceremony to honor the teacher that is chosen.

You must be a graduate of a Century Scholar school. In addition to your academic achievement including achievement under difficult circumstances, your co-curricular involvement (campus and community activities, leadership roles, employment, etc.) is also considered. In order to provide scholarship opportunities to the greatest number of students, Texas A&M does not stack Academic Scholarships. If you qualify for more than one Academic Scholarship, our office will offer you the highest dollar-value scholarship only.

Each year, 500 students nationwide become Dell Scholars, gaining financial assistance, academic advising, career coaching, and a team of dedicated experts who support them every step of the way. To be eligible, you must: - Be a high school senior participating in an approved college readiness program - Plan to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university right after high school - Be Pell Grant eligible - Have at least a 2.4 GPA

The Opportunity Award program provides scholarships for a first year freshman with outstanding high school records. Selection is based on an applicant's high school academic record, activities, leadership ability, and, in some cases evidence of financial need. Stipends for these awards generally range from $100 to $15,000 per year. Out-of-state students may be eligible to receive a non-resident tuition waiver after receiving a competitive scholarship of a specified minimum dollar amount from Texas A&M University.

To be considered for the Regents’ Scholarship, you must be: -Admitted as a freshman to Texas A&M University College Station, including the McAllen Higher Education Center, Engineering Academy at Blinn Bryan or Engineering Academy at Galveston. -A first-generation college student (neither parent has earned a bachelor’s degree). -From a family with a total income of less than $40,000 per year as verified through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Texas Application for Student Financial Aid (TASFA). -Living on campus their entire first year for students at the College Station and Galveston campus unless a special circumstance housing appeal is approved.

For military veterans who have served or been deployed overseas in the post-9/11 conflict, also known as the Global War on Terror, with a preference for Oregon National Guard and Oregon Reservists. The scholarship is available for students enrolling at an institution of higher education anywhere in the United States. Download the application. Applications are accepted year-round.

Any undergraduate student majoring in bioinformatics, computer science, biology, agriculture, or plant sciences may apply for this scholarship. A minimum GPA of 2.8 is required for this scholarship. To apply, please submit two letters or recommendation, and tell us about your accomplishments within the field of bioinformatics and what your career goals are. One letter of recommendation should be a professional reference, such as a professor, that can vouch for the candidate’s interest in bioinformatics. Examples of personal development in this field can include but are not limited to, learning interfaces and software required bioinformatic analysis, development of new bioinformatic software, generating novel sequencing data, and/or improving currently available datasets. This scholarship is named after Brian Bushnell, developer of the bioinformatic tools suite BBtools, and aims to help future scientists build the bioinformatic skills required to evaluate large sets of biological data.

The AvaCare Medical Scholarship recognizes those who are working to better the lives of our customers, students who are pursuing a degree in the medical field, with a prize of $1000 toward college tuition. Applicants for the AvaCare Scholarship must meet the following criteria: - Citizen of the United States or Green Card holder - High school senior or enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university - Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 - Pursuing a degree in the medical field such as therapy, nursing, medicine, nutrition, laboratory science, dentistry, health law, etc. Although all students with the above criteria are welcome to apply for this scholarship, preference will be given to students with a physical disability.

To support an individual project of a scholarly nature, related to Aegean Bronze Age Archaeology, and to be conducted between July 1 of the award year and the following June 30. Preference will be given to candidates whose project requires travel to the Mediterranean for the purpose stated above. The Dakota Corps Scholarship is a scholarship program funded by private business, non profit corporations and the Governors Office. It was established to encourage South Dakota's high school graduates to: 1. Obtain their post secondary education in South Dakota 2. Remain in the state upon completion of their education and 3. Contribute to the state of South Dakota and its citizens by working in a critical need occupation. To be eligible for the Dakota Corps Scholarship students must: - Have graduated from an accredited South Dakota high school with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.8 or greater on a 4.0 scale. Home schooled students will be allowed to provide supplemental information to qualify if the information for this requirement is not available. - Have 27 ACT Composite or Superscore or greater (or the SAT equivalent). - Agree in writing to stay in South Dakota and work in a critical need occupation after graduation for as many years as the scholarship was received plus one year. - Apply for the Dakota Corps Scholarship for a school period that begins within one year of high school graduation, or within one year of release from active duty of an active component of the armed forces. - Be an incoming freshman at a participating South Dakota college as an undergraduate student in a program that will prepare the student to work in a critical need occupation Be a U.S. citizen or national

Two $750 awards are available to students who meet the following criteria: - Must have been enrolled as a student during part of the current year. - Must have an accepted paper abstract for the SfAA Annual Meeting program (poster presentations are not eligible). - The accepted paper should address issues related to supporting and empowering oppressed or disadvantaged communities, reflecting Del Jones’s contributions. - The award helps support travel expenses to attend the SfAA Annual Meeting.

The Gilbert Kushner Travel Award honors the legacy of an influential SfAA Fellow and recipient of the 2005 Sol Tax Distinguished Service Award. Renowned for his pioneering role in developing applied anthropology as a graduate field, Kushner served as Chair of the University of South Florida’s Anthropology Department and Associate Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Under his leadership, USF became a leading center for applied anthropology, with numerous MA and Ph.D. students in the field. Kushner strongly advocated for field experiences, believing they offer invaluable insights for anthropologists. His research, which began with studies of Indian immigrants to Israel, fostered a lifelong commitment to ethics, human rights, and the persistence of cultural groups. Two $750 awards are available to students who meet the following criteria: - Must have been enrolled as a student during part of the current year. - Must have an accepted paper or poster abstract for the SfAA Annual Meeting on topics related to the persistence of cultural groups. - The award helps support travel expenses to attend the SfAA Annual Meeting.

Scholarsip is open to students who are in pursuit of better education and currently/about to be enrolled in any apiology program, major in agriculture & environmental sciences, and other related studies. Applicants must be 18 years or older; must be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa; must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an accredited U.S. college or university, and must be a student/enrollee of any of the following: entomology program, major in agriculture & environmental sciences, or other related studies. HW Part Store Scholarship gives a one-time grant of $1,000 to one deserving student to help pay for books, tuition, or other educational expenses so they can be a step closer to achieving their goals. Applicants must be 18 years or older; must be a permanent legal U.S. resident or a holder of a valid student visa, and must be enrolled or planning to enroll in agricultural sciences at accredited colleges or universities in the United States.

Washington College Grant (WA Grant) gives eligible people more money for more types of education like certificate programs, job training, apprenticeships, or college. To apply, complete a state or federal financial aid application. WA Grant is available to the following people: -Washington residents (including undocumented people) -Recent high school graduates or working-age adults -Low- to middle-income families and individuals -People who plan to attend an approved certificate program, job training, apprenticeship, or college, part-time or full-time Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED, or the equivalent, and must have not already earned a bachelor’s degree or higher. The Alex & Suzanne Rosenkrantz Fund assists youth who are blind, deaf or deaf-blind in reaching their highest potential through higher education, vocational training, other appropriate schooling and adaptive technology and devices. The fund is administered by the Rotary Club of Aberdeen, Washington. Priority is given to Grays Harbor residents; lower Puget Sound areas; and Washington State. Priority is given to Grays Harbor residents; then residents of Pacific, Thurston and Mason Counties; then residents of other counties in Washington State. Applications are accepted year round.

The SOULE Foundation is designed to create an experience geared to support, develop and promote the educational advancement of LGBTQ youth and young people of color. This scholarship has a rolling deadline, meaning you can apply at anytime. However, the earlier you apply, the better. The SOULE Foundation provides annual scholarships for up to $5,000 to eligible youth and young adults in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree. LGBTQ youth and young adults of color are eligible to be considered for a SOULE Foundation scholarship if they meet the following criteria: - Have attained a cumulative high school or college GPA of at least 2.5 - Have a high school diploma or GED - Are enrolled at a U.S. located, accredited college or university as a full-time student.

Trades allow students to get a different type of education that will help them be successful in the career they are choosing. To support trade students pursuing a career in STEM, the Appalachian Region Vocational Scholarship will support students in Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia as they pursue their passions. Industry jobs cannot be overlooked, so this scholarship will encourage students to take their own path toward a trade school education. Students from Kentucky, West Virginia, and Virginia are eligible to apply if they are going to trade school, or a traditional 2 or 4 year college for a STEM career, with a focus on engineering. To apply, students must be a first generation college student currently or looking to study STEM. Purpose To promote, expand, and enrich the body of research concerning the coast by actively supporting graduate students in the field of coastal wetlands science. This coastal wetlands focus is defined as those tidal or nontidal wetlands found within coastal states, including the Great Lakes.

It’s essential for educators to have backgrounds often left out of the history books to truly unravel the multiple complexities present in all sectors of our world today and to break apart many of the systemic barriers seen in communities of color. To support the needs of prospective Black male educators who want to fight for a more equitable tomorrow for their students and the world, the Mark A. Jefferson Teaching Scholarship exists and will support two extremely ambitious African-American males in their pursuit to become educators for the future.

Income to be used for the education, training, or other assistance of handicapped students or students preparing themselves for work with handicapped children. The University is free to determine the amount of the scholarship to aid pupils who could not otherwise prepare themselves for this work. Can be used to help handicapped students prepare for admission to the University. By the use of the term handicapped, it is intended to include students handicapped physically or mentally, or handicapped by reason of environment or lack of opportunity, or such related causes, and thereby incapacitated to take advantage of the opportunities that the Government of the United States holds open to all of its citizens. Meeting scholarship eligibility does not guarantee awarding. Current UT undergraduates and incoming external transfer undergraduates can apply through the OSFA Continuing & Transfer Student Scholarship Application, available from November through mid-March each year. Incoming first-time-in-college students can apply through the Scholarship Interest form, available from September 1 - January 15 each year.

We are a private foundation that awards a yearly aviation scholarship to financially support a deserving young person pursuing their Private Pilot Certificate. Minimum scholarship award is $1500 and up to cover the entire cost of obtaining a private pilot certificate. Minimum recipients is 1. The Board can consider selecting more the 1 recipient. Funding considerations factor into what the board decides.

The Electrochemical Society has been offering summer fellowships since early 1928. These awards were established to assist students during the summer months, June through September, in the pursuit of work in a field of interest to ECS. In order to qualify for these fellowships, one must be enrolled in a college or university in addition to being a member of ECS. Up to four recipients will be selected annually to receive up to $5,000! The award shall be made to a graduate student pursuing work between the degrees of BS and PhD in a college or university, who is a member of ECS and will continue his or her studies after the summer period. A brief resume or abstract of 100-150 words concerning work performed shall be submitted tothe Society by the recipient at the end of the award period, suitable for publication in The Electrochemical Society Interface.

Purpose To promote the study of tropical horticulture and landscape architecture. Education For graduate students and undergraduates Eligibility Open to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents who are currently and actively enrolled in a U.S.-based institution. Due to IRS restrictions, the GCA is unable to fund awards for international applicants. Travel must commence within 12 months of the award. Provisions Provides $5,000 to a well-qualified graduate student or undergraduate student specializing in tropical horticulture, botany, or landscape architecture for the purpose of studying abroad at botanical institutions. Scholarship funds the international study of tropical horticulture or landscape architecture. This does not mean that the scholar’s study needs to take place in a tropical climate. The scholar could study in temperate regions as long as the destination is international. Application Guidelines: 1) A 1-page description of your research endeavors and how the scholarship will support these endeavors. 2) A proposed itinerary along with any potential or confirmed collaborating institutions for your international study of tropical horticulture or architecture. 3) A 1-page budget for the travel and study proposed. 4) A 1-page CV 5)School transcripts (Colleges and universities, highschool transcripts not needed) 6)Two letters of recommendation.

Academic scholarships are monetary awards used to support CAP Cadets pursuing their undergraduate or graduate education. Monies are to be used for tuition, books, or room and board at any post-secondary school (i.e: college, university, vocational-technical school, etc.). Scholarship recipients must ensure that the money is used responsibly. Applicants may pursue any course of study. This year, scholarships will be made in varying amounts from $1,000 to $2,500. All applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements including: - Must have earned Billy Mitchell Award or higher - Must be a high school senior, high school graduate, or hold a GED. - Must be accepted to a college/school or provide proof that an application has been made. - Must attend a post-secondary school or college - Must be enrolled in a course of study during the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded. - Must submit at least one but not more than three letters of recommendation written by someone who is familiar with the cadets' accomplishments in CAP. - Must submit a resume, detailing any academic, community or CAP activities.

The purpose of this scholarship is to help you understand the negative effects of too much screen time.

Spencer awards Undergraduate, Graduate, Ph.D., and Pre-Instructor of Practice scholarships to students enrolled at an accredited college or university in the United States and Canada and physically studying in either location (no remote coursework eligibility from other locations), including part-time Graduate scholarships to Risk Management & Insurance professionals continuing their education. Applicants must seek a career in Risk Management, Insurance, and/or Actuarial Science.

The Edward G. and Helen A. Borgens Elementary Teacher Scholarship is a one-time preferred amount of up to $1,500 awarded to one student who is twenty-five (25) years of age or older. Applicants must be studying to teach at the elementary school level. Applicants must have at least a 3.5 GPA, be at least a college sophomore, and attend or plan on attending an accredited college or university. The award is based on academic merit and is not automatically renewable, however, recipients may reapply for consideration as long as they meet the eligibility requirements.

A preferred amount $5,000 scholarship awarded to one student either attending or planning to attend an approved, accredited medical school, college, or university. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.25. This scholarship is not automatically renewable; however, recipients may reapply for consideration each year for up to four consecutive years, pending receipt of proof of continued enrollment (no pre–med, veterinarian, or physician assistant), and after the first semester, an annual transcript review indicating a minimum GPA of 3.25.

Purpose: To provide funding for professional development experiences for English/language arts teachers working in public educational institutions. The scholarship supports postgraduate training to enhance teaching skills and/or career development in teaching. Eligibility: Applicants are required to be teachers of English/language arts in a publicly funded institution. At the time of the award, the recipient must also be a member of NCTE. Criteria: Applicants must complete the application form below. It includes a written statement of no more than 500 words indicating: The professional development experience for which you seek support, including specific details such as course titles, planned dates of study, fees, etc. Why you feel that you should be considered for this scholarship and how it will serve you in your career.

The Irene and Daisy MacGregor Memorial Scholarship is awarded to two students of high scholastic standing and character who have been accepted into or are pursuing an approved course of study to become a medical doctor (no pre-med, veterinarian or physician assistant) at an approved, accredited medical school. Renewal is conditional upon maintenance of a GPA of 3.25. This scholarship is also available to students who have been accepted into or who are pursuing an approved course of study in the field of psychiatric nursing at the graduate level at accredited medical schools, colleges, or universities. There is a preference to females "if equally qualified."

A one-time $2,500 award is given to three students who are in financial need and who have been accepted or is currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. A letter of acceptance into a nursing program or a transcript stating the applicant is in a nursing program must be included with the application.

The Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship, in the amount of $2,500, is awarded for up to four years to two children or step children of dues-paying DAR members. Renewal is conditional upon maintenance of a GPA of 3.25. Outstanding recipients pursuing graduate study may reapply each year for an additional period of up to four years of study. The DAR member number of the mother, who is a current-dues paying member, must be included with the application.

The William B. Ruggles Journalism Scholarship honors the esteemed Texas journalist who coined the phrase “Right to Work” and contributed greatly to the movement’s advancement. One $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually to the student who exemplifies the dedication to the Right to Work principles and high journalistic standards of the late Mr. Ruggles. Individuals seeking to attend or individuals attending a United States institution of higher learning (undergraduate or graduate) who have demonstrated journalistic skills or major in journalism may apply. Applicants must: -Demonstrate potential for the successful completion of the educational requirements in an accredited college, university, or other qualifying institution. This includes (a) supplying a copy of your most recent transcript or acceptance letter from the school you are or will attend, and (b) providing proof that you are or will be enrolled in the school’s journalism program or proof of your journalistic skills by actual journalistic works, which can include social media. -Demonstrate your writing ability and an understanding of the Right to Work principles and compulsory unionism’s economic and social problems by submitting a 500 – 700-word essay.

The Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship, in the amount of $2,500, is awarded to two students who are accepted or enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. Applicants must be members, descendant of members or be eligible for membership in NSDAR. The DAR member number must be in the Application.

This scholarship is awarded once a year to a Native American college and technical student of any age, any tribe and in any state who has financial need and a minimum GPA of 3.25 based on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent GPA on the scaled used by the applicable educational institution. Applicants must be Native Americans and must be able to prove membership in a tribe that is recognized at a state and/or federal level. These awards are available for vocational training or college/university undergraduate or graduate students. Preference is given to undergraduate applicants. The amount of the scholarship is $4,000.00 and more than one may be awarded each year.

Purpose To protect, preserve, and expand knowledge about the medicinal use of plants, thus preventing the disappearance of plants with therapeutic potential. Providing this research opportunity for botanists can, in turn, assist medical science to develop therapies that improve the quality of life of patients and develop life-saving medicines. Education Doctoral candidates and recent PhDs in botany Eligibility Open to students currently and actively enrolled in PhD programs at recognized universities and PhD graduates who have received their degrees in the last five years. Eligibility is open to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents who are enrolled in a U.S.-based institution. Due to IRS restrictions, GCA is unable to fund awards for international applicants. Provisions Provides one annual grant award of $4,500, intended to enable a student to pursue an avenue of research that might otherwise prove closed. Accordingly, the funds may be used to cover direct costs associated with travel, field studies, or laboratory research.

The Mary Elizabeth Lockwood Beneventi MBA Scholarship is a one-time preferred amount $2,000 scholarship for a student attending graduate school full time in an accredited college or university and majoring in business administration. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.25. The scholarship is not automatically renewable, however, recipients may reapply for consideration each year.

The DAR Centennial Scholarship is awarded to two outstanding students pursuing a course of graduate study in the field of historic preservation at a college or university in the United States. This scholarship was established from a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Centennial Pin. This is a one-time award in the amount of $2,500.

Each year, the interest earned from the Shropshire Scholarship fund is used to provide these awards. The scholarship fund is currently benefited by the Civitan International Fellows Programs and direct contributions. Any Civitan, Campus Civitan, or Junior Civitan who has been a member for 2 years and is enrolled or planning to enroll in a degree or certificate program at an accredited community college, vocational school, four-year college or graduate school is eligible to apply for a Shropshire Scholarship. Candidates are judged by a scholarship selection committee appointed by Civitan International. The decisions of the selection committee are FINAL and NOT subject to review. The LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Foundation Flight Training Scholarship provides funding for flight training and ground school. Applicant must have completed or commit to complete a Private Pilot Written Ground School with authorization to take the written exam BEFORE an award will be granted. Please include leadership roles and community service/volunteer involvement as well as sports participation and other organizations you are involved with. We would like to learn about achievements you have earned. You must receive two letters of recommendation on file for your application to be scored. There are three essay prompts where we wish to learn most why you wish to become a pilot and what inspired you to reach for the sky.

The Altmans support numerous efforts to improve education and research for the industry. Altman Plants supplies plant programs to large retailers with point of purchase materials, sales reps to assist with merchandising, a large distribution system that covers the U.S., and offers expertise in growing plants. Each year one student will be awarded this scholarship. It is an annual scholarship, although the same person may receive it a second year should their application score the highest.

This scholarship honors the late Paul Ecke, Jr. of Encinitas, Calif., who made indispensable contributions to the advancement of the global floriculture industry. Among his many interests was concern for the future of floriculture, as influenced by innovative research and educational programs. He recognized that creative scientists and educators are required to lead the floral industry in the 21st century and beyond. Each year, one student will receive $5,000 for two consecutive years, providing that they continue to meet requirements for this duration and submit an annual update.

Each year NPVA offers merit-based scholarships for students who are committed to volunteering and making a difference in their communities. Our scholarships are open to students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The Geiger Scholarship offers financial support for students interested in expanding their educational horizons through off-island enrichment and travel experiences, including summer camp, semester study abroad, and gap year programs. The application portal opens September 1st, 2025, and closes March 1st, 2026. Students are eligible for up to 4 Geiger Scholarships: once in grades 6-8, once in grades 9-12, once in college and once for a gap year. Must meet one or more of the following requirements: - Middle school through college students living on one of Maine’s year-round, unbridged islands - Currently enrolled in or graduated from the highest grade level available at your island school - Magnet student with a demonstrated commitment to their island school and enrolled in at least their second year or have plans to return for a second year.

The Colegrave Seabrook Foundation International Scholarship operates in cooperation with the David Colegrave Foundation in London, England. Each year there will be an exchange of students between the U.S. and Europe, alternating between the two countries. Scholarship awards of $4,500 will be made. U.S. students should apply for this scholarship in even-numbered years (2022, 2024, etc.)

United States residents 18 or older who are planning to enroll or currently enrolled in a college degree program are eligible to apply.
