The American Indian Endowed Scholarship (AIES) helps students with financial need who have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian community in Washington State. Students can use the scholarship at public colleges and many independent colleges in Washington. The program prioritizes upper-division and graduate-level students, but all applicants are considered. Applicants must demonstrate financial need; must meet Washington State residency requirements for financial aid, and must intend to enroll full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student at a participating public or private college or university in Washington State beginning fall term of the application year. To be considered for this award applicants must Intend to use their education to benefit the American Indian community in Washington State. Many past recipients have careers in law, medicine, education, business, and resource management. All have returned, or plan to return, to their tribal communities to work on behalf of Indian peoples within the state. Award amounts range from around $500 to $2,000. Students may get AIES funding for up to five years, but must reapply each year.

This scholarship will be awarded to one student in North Carolina each year who is in recovery, or working to overcome the trauma associated with addiction, to help this student achieve their educational and career goals at a 4-year college, community college or trade school.

Scholarships will be awarded to qualified high school seniors of African American descent who are U.S. citizens and demonstrate exemplary leadership in their family, school and the African American Community. Applicants must reside within The Greater Seattle (WA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated geographic and service areas in Washington State (King, Snohomish, Kitsap, Clallam and Jefferson counties).
