A Bannan Scholarship is a merit award of $6000 per year. Initial award criteria for the scholarship includes having a junior or senior standing by fall of the award year as a continuing student or new transfer student, as well as a GPA of 3.5 or higher for previous college-level work. The Maxwell Scholarship was established to assist high school seniors from Western Washington in obtaining a higher education. Description: The scholarship is a combination tuition/work grant for a Yakima Valley Community College student planning for an academic degree and/or professional career in an area of health and physical education, athletics, or recreation leadership. Eligibility: The scholarship is available to a high school graduate who plans to enroll at Yakima Valley Community College, and to all students currently enrolled at YVCC who plan on returning for another year. Amount: The amount of the scholarship for each school year (three quarters) will be a total annual grant up to $2400, divided equally each quarter. One-half is a direct tuition grant and one-half is designated for a work grant in the physical education and athletics department. This scholarship aims to help women’s rugby players pay for college so they can afford the costs of higher education. Any female rugby player who is a high school senior, undergraduate, graduate student, or trade school student may apply for this scholarship.

Any high school senior or undergraduate interested in and/or currently studying Astronomy, Astrophysics, Science or Engineering is eligible to apply for this scholarship. One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest is open to students from grade 3 through university and above, based on the student’s grade level (through age 25). As an example of the appropriate entrant category, students who have completed grade 11 at the time of making/producing the film and submit an entry before commencing grade 12 will be considered entrants for grade 12. The Contest accepts submissions from students living outside the U.S. Entrants may submit a film of no shorter than 3 minutes and no longer than 8 minutes. However, the sponsor will accept and consider short animated films. The minimum length for animated submissions is 45 seconds. Topics differ based on age group.

Any high school senior who is a BMX racer may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have been impacted by a member of the armed forces, whether this person is a friend, family member, mentor, etc. To apply, write a 400-600 word essay about someone or something in the armed forces that has impacted you and how you define gratitude to our service members. The Dick French Memorial Scholarship is administered by and funded by the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) Lower Columbia/Willamette River Professional Chapter. Scholarship award criteria: scholastic achievement, financial need, and personal qualities such as character and leadership ability. The scholarship grant of $1,000 will be paid to the applicant’s school with instructions for funds to be disbursed and monitored. All Colorado Senior High School students who maintain a minimum 3.0-grade point average, while participating in community service, extracurricular school activities and/or holding down a job, while preparing to pursue further higher education (whether it be at a University, Community College, or Trade School) are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Each year the Chapter seeks to recognize a student from a systemically underrepresented racial/ethnic background attending school in Washington State who demonstrates academic achievement and a desire to practice public relations.
