WSAJ is committed to ensuring that our members, their clients, and Washington residents more broadly have meaningful access to justice in Washington’s courts. One important way WSAJ serves this goal is by facilitating the development of the law, both through its government affairs team, which protects consumer and worker rights in the legislature, and through its amicus team, which regularly appears in Washington Courts of Appeals and the Supreme Court as an appellate organization. In keeping with these aims, WSAJ has created an annual scholarship of $5,000 to be awarded to a law student who has a demonstrated interest in appellate advocacy.

Any BIPOC high school or undergraduate student who is from a financially disadvantaged community may apply for this scholarship if they’re pursuing computer science, mathematics, or other STEM fields. To apply, write a 400-600 word essay you’d like to promise to your future self and how this scholarship fits into that plan.

Scholarship is open to current HBCU college juniors and seniors who are permanent residents of Washington or Oregon and pursuing a career in Communications. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

Any African American high school or undergraduate student who is studying STEM (particularly AI and machine learning) may apply for this scholarship opportunity, but applicants from the U.S. Virgin Islands and those who attend(ed) Charlotte Amalie High School are preferred. To apply, write a 400-600 word essay about your hands-on experience with AI and machine learning, especially if this background relates to coding or creating an app. Additionally, tell us how you imagine you’ll make an impact in the field.

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans provides merit-based funding for New Americans, immigrants and children of immigrants, who are poised to make significant contributions to US culture, society and academia.

The Youth Awards honors Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their excellence in various categories including: Community Service, Education, Engineering, Entrepreneurship & Business, Green Sustainability, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Public Service & Social Justice, and Technology. Eligibility: - Be currently enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2025 - Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale - Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2025-2026 - Be of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines) - If selected, attendance to virtual regional awards ceremony is mandatory

Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are age 13 or older. Applicants (any citizenship) must maintain full-time residence in the United states; OR must be a U.S. citizen attending a foreign school abroad. To apply, Regeneron STS entrants will submit a written research report detailing original, independent research. The research report is evidence of research ability, scientific originality and creative thinking. It is an opportunity to demonstrate competence in planning and completing a project in science, mathematics or engineering. Applicants can win up to $250,000. Awards may vary.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s scholarship programs are designed to encourage and support outstanding students who work hard and have financial need. Their scholarships provide financial assistance and academic support to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students. In addition to the monetary award, students join a thriving network of more than 3,300 Cooke Scholars.

Must be a current 3rd or 4th year undergraduate dental student or dental specialist graduate student in the State of Washington.

The Leadership 1000 Scholarship awards funding to certain high school seniors attending eligible high schools or students enrolled in CSF’s College Services who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a Washington state college or university. The scholarship is renewable and available in amounts up to $5,000 per academic year for students who demonstrate financial need.
