The Division 18 Lived Experience Fund Dissertation Research Grant supports a doctoral student in clinical, counseling, or community psychology with lived experience who is doing their dissertation in a topic area related to peer support, survivor research, the c/s/x movement, disclosure of lived experience, or other projects in the general area focused on lived experience. Eligibility - Applicants must be current doctoral students in the process of completing their dissertations.

Anders Ericsson Dissertation Research Grant supports one annual grant for dissertation research in the general area of expertise and skill acquisition, with a preferred focus on applications of the expert performance approach and/or the impacts of deliberate practice in diverse domains of skill. Research priority topic: Expertise and skill acquisition, broadly defined, with special interest in proposals that use process tracing methods, the expert-performance approach, or a deliberate practice framework to understand superior skill. The Voice of Democracy audio-essay program provides high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay. Each year, more than 26,400 ninth through 12th grade students from across the country enter to win their share of more than $1.4 million in educational scholarships and incentives awarded through the program. The Voice of Democracy is open to students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States; or dependents of U.S. military or civilian personnel in overseas schools. Although U.S. citizenship is not required, studentsmust be lawful U.S. permanent residents or have applied for permanent residence . The national first place winner receives a $35,000 scholarship paid directly to the recipient’s American university, college or vocational/technical school.

Since 1947, the Voice of Democracy has been the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ (VFW’s) premier scholarship program. Each year, nearly 26,000 high school students compete for more than $2 million in scholarships and incentives. Students compete by writing and recording an audio essay on an annual patriotic theme. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has lost a mother due to a maternal suicide related to postpartum depression. Suicide related to maternal mental illness typically occurs during late pregnacy and up to a year after child birth. The Peter Kong-ming New Student Research Competition, held annually by the Society for Applied Anthropology, celebrates outstanding student research in the applied social and behavioral sciences. This prestigious award honors Peter Kong-ming New, a distinguished medical sociologist-anthropologist and former SfAA president, whose work focused on applying the social sciences to address critical issues in health care and human services. - Open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled during the calendar year prior to the award presentation. - Doctorate holders are ineligible. - Submissions must be single-authored and based on original, unpublished field research in the social sciences. - First and second-place winners are not eligible for future competitions.

The Lillian Moller Gilbreth Memorial Scholarship was established by the Society’s Board of Trustees in 1958. It honors a woman often called the “First Lady of Engineering.” She inspired many young ladies in engineering with delightful stories, charm, fortitude and forward thinking Dr. Gilbreth, an honorary SWE member, was familiar to the public as the wife and mother in the books and movies Cheaper by the Dozen (she was the mother of 12 children) and Belles on Their Toes. She married Frank Bunker Gilbreth in 1904 and collaborated with him as pioneers in the field of time and motion studies. Lillian Gilbreth combined the perspectives of an engineer, a psychologist, a wife, and a mother; she helped industrial engineers see the importance of the psychological dimensions of work. She became the first American engineer ever to create a synthesis of psychology and scientific management.

The fellowship can be used to support research and study related to the archaeology of Portugal, including the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira. This includes, but is not limited to, excavations, research projects, colloquia, symposia, publications, and travel for research or to academic meetings for the purpose of presenting papers on the archaeology of Portugal. Funds may not be used for institutional overhead, institutional administrative recovery costs, or institutional indirect costs.

The fellowship honors the memory of John R. Coleman, whose premature death deprived the field of a scholar of unusual integrity and promise. John R. Coleman graduated magna cum laude at Harvard University, held a Fulbright Fellowship at the University of Bonn, and pursued graduate study at Princeton University. He excavated at Aphrodisias and Morgantina. The Coleman Fellowship is to be used for travel and study in Italy, the western Mediterranean, or North Africa, between July 1 of the award year and the following June 30. The award may not support field excavation projects, nor may AIA fellowship funds be used for institutional overhead, administrative recovery costs, or indirect costs.

The Norman S. Baldwin Fishery Science scholarship is intended to promote academic excellence by encouraging young scientists to undertake graduate research in fishery biology and to enter the field of Great Lakes science. The scholarship is awarded annually to promising M.Sc. or Ph.D. students whose research is likely to make a significant contribution to the understanding of Great Lakes fishery science. In recognition of outstanding academic achievements, the university offers several merit scholarships for incoming first-year students entering the university fall semester of 2025. An applicant for the Churchill Scholarship must be a citizen of the United States, either native-born or naturalized, and must be enrolled in one of the Participating Institutions and due to graduate during the same academic year as the deadline or be a student who has graduated from one of those institutions within the past 12 months before the deadline. Upon taking up the Churchill Scholarship, a Churchill Scholar must hold a bachelor’s degree. Outstanding academic achievement. There is no minimum GPA, though most applicants have a very high average. The Committee looks at achievement in STEM courses, especially in the major, as indicated by course grades and recommendation letters. Proven talent in research. Applicants in the sciences and engineering will demonstrate extensive laboratory experience, internships, or other related work, while applicants in mathematics will show substantial independent work or other projects. The Committee looks for originality and creativity. Outstanding personal qualities. Understanding the time commitment required by research, the Churchill Foundation does not seek so-called “well-rounded applicants”; instead, it seeks applicants with what we call interesting “jagged edges.” The Committee takes into account interests and achievements outside of research, but it does not favor any particular kind of activity.

As part of its commitment, Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation wants to engage and reward students who have made a significant impact against hunger and are driving awareness and mobilizing youth to be catalysts for innovative models and solutions to eliminate childhood hunger. The Foundation is looking for students, ages 5 to 25, who are using their creativity, academic studies (like STEM), and organizational skills to help fight hunger in their communities. The Trudgers Fund is aimed at supporting students as they strive for success in school and in their personal lives after struggling with addiction. This scholarship is for low-income undergraduate students who have experienced struggles with their own alcohol/drug addiction, have taken time away from or never pursued higher education, and are seeking to obtain an undergraduate degree to enhance their lives.

Four of these winners each receive $1,500, and the student chosen as the Aubespin Scholar receives $2,500. We’re looking for critical thinkers who have a passion for words and enjoy making writing clear, accurate, and engaging. The Walsh Scholarship goes to an applicant who aspires to edit news and who demonstrates the talent and passion for language and journalism that Bill Walsh devoted his career to. Applicants for the other five ACES Scholarships should have a commitment to the editing of written materials and demonstrate effectiveness in doing so. A student may simultaneously seek both the Walsh Scholarship and one of the other five scholarships, but may win only one.

Restricted to pre-doctoral candidates in the history of art and related disciplines (such as archaeology, architecture, or classics). Nominees must be U.S. citizens or individuals matriculated at an American university. Dissertation research must focus on European art from antiquity to the early 19th century and applicants must be ABD by the time their fellowship begins. Candidates must be nominated by their academic department. Each nomination should be formally confirmed in a letter of recommendation from the department chair. Please note: Each university is limited to two (2) nominees per academic department. The nominees must be applying for different research centers. Nominations are confirmed as part of the Department Chair’s recommendation letter. All recommendation letters, including the Department Chair’s nomination, are securely submitted via a link that is emailed to recommenders once they are listed by the student on the fellowship application form in the grantee portal.

The high cost of medical school can make the field inaccessible to students with financial need. For example, the patriarch of our family—Emanuel "Manny" Weiner—graduated from college in a pre-med program, but due to financial and other factors, was unable to attend medical school. This was one of the great regrets of his life. In memory of Manny and his wife, Sylvia Weiner, this scholarship seeks to support undergraduates in a pre-med track or current medical students. Any student in a pre-med or medical school program who has financial need and wants to become an M.D. may apply for this scholarship.

Applicants must be a current 3rd or 4th year undergraduate dental student or dental specialist graduate student in the State of Washington. The scholarship is designed to help bring awareness to and promote private practice ownership.

The Multi-Country Research Fellowship enables US scholars to carry out transational research in countries across the network of Overseas Research Centers as well as other countries. ​The fellowship supports advanced research in the humanities, social sciences, and allied natural sciences for US doctoral candidates, who are ‘all but dissertation,’ and scholars who have earned their PhD or a terminal degree. Applicants are eligible to apply as individuals or as teams. Six awards of $12,600 each will be granted. Funding is provided by the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Mary Ellen Lane Travel Award: Each year the highest ranking Multi-Country Fellowship applicant will receive an additional $1,000 toward travel expenses. The award is named after CAORC's founding director, Dr. Mary Ellen Lane. ​

The UNIMA-USA scholarship program is intended to help cover tuition fees for American puppeteers who wish to study puppetry outside the U.S. Applicants should be puppeteers who have some professional experience, who have a university degree in puppetry, or who can otherwise demonstrate a serious commitment to the art form. Over the past several years, UNIMA has also given scholarships for study in an ever-widening number of places, including the Institut Internationale de la Marionnette in Charleville-Mezieres, France; the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England; the International Summer Academy in Stuttgart, Germany; and Puppets in Prague. The working knowledge of another language might be necessary to fully participate in some programs. Candidates may use their scholarship at any time of the year, depending on when the courses are being offered. Puppetry training may be undertaken with either a recognized puppetry professional or a professional program outside the U.S. In some cases, an international puppet festival may be considered as a professional program.

The Minority Scholarship Award recognizes physical therapy students currently in their final year of an accredited program, and faculty members who are pursuing postprofessional doctoral degrees, for their professional character and academic excellence.

This award recognizes outstanding teachers in our profession who deserve to be recognized for their impact on veterinary students. The SAVMA Chapter that is associated with the submission will receive a stipend to host an awards ceremony to honor the teacher that is chosen.

You must be a graduate of a Century Scholar school. In addition to your academic achievement including achievement under difficult circumstances, your co-curricular involvement (campus and community activities, leadership roles, employment, etc.) is also considered. In order to provide scholarship opportunities to the greatest number of students, Texas A&M does not stack Academic Scholarships. If you qualify for more than one Academic Scholarship, our office will offer you the highest dollar-value scholarship only.

Each year, 500 students nationwide become Dell Scholars, gaining financial assistance, academic advising, career coaching, and a team of dedicated experts who support them every step of the way. To be eligible, you must: - Be a high school senior participating in an approved college readiness program - Plan to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university right after high school - Be Pell Grant eligible - Have at least a 2.4 GPA

The Opportunity Award program provides scholarships for a first year freshman with outstanding high school records. Selection is based on an applicant's high school academic record, activities, leadership ability, and, in some cases evidence of financial need. Stipends for these awards generally range from $100 to $15,000 per year. Out-of-state students may be eligible to receive a non-resident tuition waiver after receiving a competitive scholarship of a specified minimum dollar amount from Texas A&M University.

To be considered for the Regents’ Scholarship, you must be: -Admitted as a freshman to Texas A&M University College Station, including the McAllen Higher Education Center, Engineering Academy at Blinn Bryan or Engineering Academy at Galveston. -A first-generation college student (neither parent has earned a bachelor’s degree). -From a family with a total income of less than $40,000 per year as verified through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Texas Application for Student Financial Aid (TASFA). -Living on campus their entire first year for students at the College Station and Galveston campus unless a special circumstance housing appeal is approved.

For military veterans who have served or been deployed overseas in the post-9/11 conflict, also known as the Global War on Terror, with a preference for Oregon National Guard and Oregon Reservists. Any undergraduate student majoring in bioinformatics, computer science, biology, agriculture, or plant sciences may apply for this scholarship. A minimum GPA of 2.8 is required for this scholarship. To apply, please submit two letters or recommendation, and tell us about your accomplishments within the field of bioinformatics and what your career goals are. One letter of recommendation should be a professional reference, such as a professor, that can vouch for the candidate’s interest in bioinformatics. Examples of personal development in this field can include but are not limited to, learning interfaces and software required bioinformatic analysis, development of new bioinformatic software, generating novel sequencing data, and/or improving currently available datasets. This scholarship is named after Brian Bushnell, developer of the bioinformatic tools suite BBtools, and aims to help future scientists build the bioinformatic skills required to evaluate large sets of biological data.

The AvaCare Medical Scholarship recognizes those who are working to better the lives of our customers, students who are pursuing a degree in the medical field, with a prize of $1000 toward college tuition. Applicants for the AvaCare Scholarship must meet the following criteria: - Citizen of the United States or Green Card holder - High school senior or enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university - Achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 - Pursuing a degree in the medical field such as therapy, nursing, medicine, nutrition, laboratory science, dentistry, health law, etc. Although all students with the above criteria are welcome to apply for this scholarship, preference will be given to students with a physical disability.

A woman is eligible for consideration for an International Peace Scholarship if she: - is a woman outside the United States and Canada who is seeking an advanced degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada; - will return to her home country to utilize her education to make a positive impact and foster global peace; and has a full year of formal coursework remaining and is enrolled and in residence in the U.S. or Canada for the entire school year; or is an international student attending Cottey College

To support an individual project of a scholarly nature, related to Aegean Bronze Age Archaeology, and to be conducted between July 1 of the award year and the following June 30. Preference will be given to candidates whose project requires travel to the Mediterranean for the purpose stated above. The Dakota Corps Scholarship is a scholarship program funded by private business, non profit corporations and the Governors Office. It was established to encourage South Dakota's high school graduates to: 1. Obtain their post secondary education in South Dakota 2. Remain in the state upon completion of their education and 3. Contribute to the state of South Dakota and its citizens by working in a critical need occupation. To be eligible for the Dakota Corps Scholarship students must: - Have graduated from an accredited South Dakota high school with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.8 or greater on a 4.0 scale. Home schooled students will be allowed to provide supplemental information to qualify if the information for this requirement is not available. - Have 27 ACT Composite or Superscore or greater (or the SAT equivalent). - Agree in writing to stay in South Dakota and work in a critical need occupation after graduation for as many years as the scholarship was received plus one year. - Apply for the Dakota Corps Scholarship for a school period that begins within one year of high school graduation, or within one year of release from active duty of an active component of the armed forces. - Be an incoming freshman at a participating South Dakota college as an undergraduate student in a program that will prepare the student to work in a critical need occupation Be a U.S. citizen or national

Two $750 awards are available to students who meet the following criteria: - Must have been enrolled as a student during part of the current year. - Must have an accepted paper abstract for the SfAA Annual Meeting program (poster presentations are not eligible). - The accepted paper should address issues related to supporting and empowering oppressed or disadvantaged communities, reflecting Del Jones’s contributions. - The award helps support travel expenses to attend the SfAA Annual Meeting.

The Gilbert Kushner Travel Award honors the legacy of an influential SfAA Fellow and recipient of the 2005 Sol Tax Distinguished Service Award. Renowned for his pioneering role in developing applied anthropology as a graduate field, Kushner served as Chair of the University of South Florida’s Anthropology Department and Associate Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Under his leadership, USF became a leading center for applied anthropology, with numerous MA and Ph.D. students in the field. Kushner strongly advocated for field experiences, believing they offer invaluable insights for anthropologists. His research, which began with studies of Indian immigrants to Israel, fostered a lifelong commitment to ethics, human rights, and the persistence of cultural groups. Two $750 awards are available to students who meet the following criteria: - Must have been enrolled as a student during part of the current year. - Must have an accepted paper or poster abstract for the SfAA Annual Meeting on topics related to the persistence of cultural groups. - The award helps support travel expenses to attend the SfAA Annual Meeting.

Scholarsip is open to students who are in pursuit of better education and currently/about to be enrolled in any apiology program, major in agriculture & environmental sciences, and other related studies. Applicants must be 18 years or older; must be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa; must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an accredited U.S. college or university, and must be a student/enrollee of any of the following: entomology program, major in agriculture & environmental sciences, or other related studies. HW Part Store Scholarship gives a one-time grant of $1,000 to one deserving student to help pay for books, tuition, or other educational expenses so they can be a step closer to achieving their goals. Washington College Grant (WA Grant) gives eligible people more money for more types of education like certificate programs, job training, apprenticeships, or college. To apply, complete a state or federal financial aid application. WA Grant is available to the following people: -Washington residents (including undocumented people) -Recent high school graduates or working-age adults -Low- to middle-income families and individuals -People who plan to attend an approved certificate program, job training, apprenticeship, or college, part-time or full-time Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED, or the equivalent, and must have not already earned a bachelor’s degree or higher. The Alex & Suzanne Rosenkrantz Fund assists youth who are blind, deaf or deaf-blind in reaching their highest potential through higher education, vocational training, other appropriate schooling and adaptive technology and devices. The fund is administered by the Rotary Club of Aberdeen, Washington. Priority is given to Grays Harbor residents; lower Puget Sound areas; and Washington State. Priority is given to Grays Harbor residents; then residents of Pacific, Thurston and Mason Counties; then residents of other counties in Washington State. Applications are accepted year round.

The SOULE Foundation is designed to create an experience geared to support, develop and promote the educational advancement of LGBTQ youth and young people of color. This scholarship has a rolling deadline, meaning you can apply at anytime. However, the earlier you apply, the better. The SOULE Foundation provides annual scholarships for up to $5,000 to eligible youth and young adults in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree. The Edward G. and Helen A. Borgens Elementary Teacher Scholarship is a one-time preferred amount of up to $1,500 awarded to one student who is twenty-five (25) years of age or older. Applicants must be studying to teach at the elementary school level. Applicants must have at least a 3.5 GPA, be at least a college sophomore, and attend or plan on attending an accredited college or university. The award is based on academic merit and is not automatically renewable, however, recipients may reapply for consideration as long as they meet the eligibility requirements.

A preferred amount $5,000 scholarship awarded to one student either attending or planning to attend an approved, accredited medical school, college, or university. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.25. This scholarship is not automatically renewable; however, recipients may reapply for consideration each year for up to four consecutive years, pending receipt of proof of continued enrollment (no pre–med, veterinarian, or physician assistant), and after the first semester, an annual transcript review indicating a minimum GPA of 3.25.

Purpose: To provide funding for professional development experiences for English/language arts teachers working in public educational institutions. The scholarship supports postgraduate training to enhance teaching skills and/or career development in teaching. Eligibility: Applicants are required to be teachers of English/language arts in a publicly funded institution. At the time of the award, the recipient must also be a member of NCTE. Criteria: Applicants must complete the application form below. It includes a written statement of no more than 500 words indicating: The professional development experience for which you seek support, including specific details such as course titles, planned dates of study, fees, etc. Why you feel that you should be considered for this scholarship and how it will serve you in your career.

The Irene and Daisy MacGregor Memorial Scholarship is awarded to two students of high scholastic standing and character who have been accepted into or are pursuing an approved course of study to become a medical doctor (no pre-med, veterinarian or physician assistant) at an approved, accredited medical school. Renewal is conditional upon maintenance of a GPA of 3.25. This scholarship is also available to students who have been accepted into or who are pursuing an approved course of study in the field of psychiatric nursing at the graduate level at accredited medical schools, colleges, or universities. There is a preference to females "if equally qualified."

A one-time $2,500 award is given to three students who are in financial need and who have been accepted or is currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. A letter of acceptance into a nursing program or a transcript stating the applicant is in a nursing program must be included with the application.

The Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship, in the amount of $2,500, is awarded for up to four years to two children or step children of dues-paying DAR members. Renewal is conditional upon maintenance of a GPA of 3.25. Outstanding recipients pursuing graduate study may reapply each year for an additional period of up to four years of study. The DAR member number of the mother, who is a current-dues paying member, must be included with the application.

The William B. Ruggles Journalism Scholarship honors the esteemed Texas journalist who coined the phrase “Right to Work” and contributed greatly to the movement’s advancement. One $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually to the student who exemplifies the dedication to the Right to Work principles and high journalistic standards of the late Mr. Ruggles. Individuals seeking to attend or individuals attending a United States institution of higher learning (undergraduate or graduate) who have demonstrated journalistic skills or major in journalism may apply. Applicants must: -Demonstrate potential for the successful completion of the educational requirements in an accredited college, university, or other qualifying institution. This includes (a) supplying a copy of your most recent transcript or acceptance letter from the school you are or will attend, and (b) providing proof that you are or will be enrolled in the school’s journalism program or proof of your journalistic skills by actual journalistic works, which can include social media. -Demonstrate your writing ability and an understanding of the Right to Work principles and compulsory unionism’s economic and social problems by submitting a 500 – 700-word essay.

The Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship, in the amount of $2,500, is awarded to two students who are accepted or enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. Applicants must be members, descendant of members or be eligible for membership in NSDAR. The DAR member number must be in the Application.
