Lillian Fleet Bishop was born in Montesano and her father lived and worked in Grays Harbor as a civil engineer. Lillian met her husband E.K. “Ned” Bishop after his move to Aberdeen from Alton, Illinois. Lillian and Ned became wealthy via the lumber industry and from part ownership in Consolidated Aircraft (founded in 1923 by Lillian’s brother Rueben). The Hydrocephalus Association’s Scholarship Program was established in 1994 to provide financial assistance to capable and promising young adults who live with the ongoing challenges and complexities of hydrocephalus. The Arlington Garden Club is excited to announce it is continuing its Scholarship Program for local 2025 high school graduates. A joint program of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Southwest Washington Chapter and AIA National to aid students who plan to pursue architecture as a career and who have been accepted to a university with an accredited architectural degree program. Scholarships are offered to graduating high school seniors attending a high school in Pierce, Thurston, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Skamania, Wahkiakum, Clark, Cowlitz or Grays Harbor Counties in Washington State. Applicants to the Dominion Energy Educational Equity Scholarship Program must: - High school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates residing in one of the following states: CT, WV, VA, MD, NC, SC - Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year - Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent). The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award is a one-time, non-renewable, need-based award of up to $10,000 given in conjunction with full participation in From the Top’s Learning and Media Lab Fellowship.

The Charles Shelton Foundation provides two non-renewable $2,000 award offered annually. ​ Once the scholarship recipients have enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education and submitted proof of enrollment to the sponsor, the scholarships will be awarded in the form of a check made payable to the institution attended by the scholarship recipient.

The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship grants $15,000 of financial aid to 20 - 25 incoming diverse law students over their three years in law school. Since its inception, the ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship has benefitted more than 400 students from across the country.

The Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation exists to further the cause of “Selfless Service” and “Unity without Uniformity” by encouraging goodwill and cooperation among all people. Since 1950, the foundation has sponsored the National Student Scholarship Essay competition for students in grades 5th–12th. The essay is designed to challenge young people to understand the values of interfaith cooperation and selfless service modeled by the Four Chaplains and Charles W. David Jr. The contest provides a forum for young people to express their views on the benefits of working together in a diverse world. The GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship recognizes and provides financial support to one Gold Award Girl Scout per council and one from USA Girl Scouts Overseas. Currently, $25,000 in scholarships will be awarded to Seattle Post Member-sponsored applicants. Applicants who are dependents of Seattle Post Members (i.e., family members within the third degree of kindred***) will be given preference. The SAME Seattle Post Member-sponsored Scholarship breakout and allocation is as follows: One (1) scholarship award valued at $4,000, and Seven (7) scholarship awards valued at $3,000 each.

CDM Smith has established a scholarship program to assist students pursuing an eligible STEM undergraduate and graduate programs focusing on engineering at an accredited four-year college or university. The IBTTA Foundation – the research, education, and charitable arm of IBTTA – has established a scholarship program to assist current undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in transportation-related fields (listed on eligibility tab). International students may also apply. Applicants to the IBTTA Foundation Scholarship Program must be: - Current undergraduate college students who have completed at least two full semesters of undergraduate coursework at the time of application (24 credit minimum), or graduate students, and who are pursuing a degree in one of the business or tranportation-related fields on the scholarship provider's website. Yakima Federal has established this award for the purpose of recognizing high academic achievers graduating from high school and a resident in Benton, Franklin, Kittitas or Yakima County. It is for those graduates who are accepted by and enrolled in an accredited college, university, community college, or technical school during this year’s fall semester. The Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship awarded over two years ($2,500 each year) to a graduating high school senior who will enroll in a two-year community college, a vocational or technical training program, or a specialized program for students with disabilities in the fall. Since 1989, the NSA Foundation has made annual scholarship awards for those who have at least Junior status in the Fall of 2025, or working on a graduate degree who have a demonstrated ability in public speaking. Or who wish to use public speaking in their future careers and/or pursue a career in public speaking. The Scholarship Committee is looking for students who have studied or are studying communication or a similar course of study. In addition, consideration will be given to those who participate in activities or organizations where public speaking plays a prominent role. The Foundation grants up to six scholarships of $5,000 each. The Yakima Housing Authority established the Sharon Wandler Scholarship in memory of Sharon Lee Wandler for the lifetime work and contribution to our community. The Dream Big! Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 by the Seattle Housing Authority Higher Education Project to provide scholarship support for qualified students living in SHA subsidized housing. Scholarships awarded are for $1,000 each, paid directly to the recipient's school for tuition, books and fees. Eligibility (applicants must meet all of the criteria below): - Living in Seattle in Seattle Housing Authority subsidized housing. - Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 from most recent school attended (high school or college). - Age 21 or under by May 20th, 2025. - Will have graduated from high school or obtained a GED by September 1, 2025. - Plan to attend a post-secondary school full-time during the academic year.
